“The scholarships allowed the students to enter the program and help their family in poverty”

Jerry Muhi, President and CEO of the Dualtech Training Center in the Philippines, enthusiastically shares details about the project he leads and its extraordinary impact on society.

The foundation focuses on providing technical education to students in the Mindanao region, where it is located. Muhi explains that they have 3,000 students trained in electronics and mechanics, with the distinguishing feature that their education is closely tied to the job market. It is a dual training system, combining classroom instruction with on-the-job experience at partner companies.

More than 300 companies collaborate with the program, offering practical training opportunities for all students before graduation.

Dualtech is committed to providing high-quality education and is deeply devoted to supporting the underprivileged through scholarships, grants, and loans. Patronato Universitario sponsors over 100 students, including Kim Alejandro, who shares how his financial assistance through a loan enabled him to graduate. Now, Kim is happily employed and supports his family’s well-being.

Kim is a grateful young man with a stable job. He highlights the cultural importance of helping families and supporting one another in the Philippines. That is precisely what he does every day, and for this reason, he feels doubly thankful for the scholarship he received, which he is gradually repaying.

According to Jerry Muhi, the assistance provided comes in two forms: grants for those unable to repay and loans for those who can gradually return the funds.

It is immensely rewarding to see how these student loans contribute to improving society through initiatives like Dualtech in the Philippines. Beyond financial repayment, the true return comes in the form of Jerry and Kim’s genuine and heartfelt smiles.
